Queen’s Award

In 2016 Blok N Mesh UK Ltd were granted the Queen’s Award for Enterprise and formal recognition of the innovation and success relating to the POLMIL® range of security fencing. With ‘no dig’ policies becoming the preferred option for global events and sensitive sites, the on-ground POLMIL® fence offers the same level of security as equivalent in-ground systems, without need for groundworks or risk to underground services, and maintains the ability and reliably host electronic perimeter intruder detection systems (PIDS). The robust reusable designs incorporate over 30 years of specialist temporary fencing experience, and have resulted in POLMIL® on-ground fence systems providing protection in Government establishments, nuclear facilities, Royal Navy docks, National Grid substations, airports, gas works, mining operations and other security sensitives throughout the UK and around the world.

Following its success at the London 2012 Olympics and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games – POLMIL® fence systems are now providing protection for Government establishments, nuclear facilities, airports, mining operations, utilities infrastructure and other security-sensitive sites throughout the UK and around the world.


Blok N Mesh were presented with the award at a ceremony on 28th July 2016 at Boreham House, Chelmsford where the Lord Lieutenant of Essex presented the Grant of Appointment and Emblem to Managing Director, Laurence Payne.
